Kim Demåne - Sundsgatan 36
Kim Demåne is an artist active in mural painting, drawing, animation and sculpture. It was in parallel with commercial projects that Kim developed a universe to explore his own imagination. An endless journey in cartoon scenarios. Demåne's background is in graphic design and street art that he has practiced in several cities in Sweden and internationally. His hometown is Malmö.
Kim says that he can first be inspired by an image from, for example, a book, the shape of a tree, clouds, or the shape of a house. It should be something that triggers the imagination. Then this is mixed with his own thoughts and what he is thinking about or has experienced. When the image is fully baked in the mind and the soul vibrates, it is time to make a quick sketch on paper.
This particular image is inspired by when one's 'heart's path' is lost and robbed of time to find oneself on life's journey. It is also an image where he challenges himself to make larger figures, like giants who clamber into the human world.
