Holsträsket is a popular fishing lake in Norrfjärden, open to everyone. Great efforts are made to improve accessibility. At Holsträsket, you can fish for rainbow trout, Arctic char, and trout, as well as perch, whitefish, and pike. Over 3.5 tons of fish are stocked here each year. With an area of approximately 170 hectares, Holsträsket is a large lake and can be reached via several routes, so be sure to check the map.
On the southern side of the lake, there are casting piers, caravan spots, and boats for rent. You will also find an accessible rest cabin with a fireplace, as well as toilet facilities, a woodshed, and accessible barbecue areas. Around the rest of the lake, there are additional casting piers and barbecue areas, some with wind shelters.
The Norrfjärden Fishing Association is also working on boardwalks to allow access to Ormudden for campfires, fishing, and enjoying nature, even for those using a walker or wheelchair.
