Meet the birds of spring on Renön with a biologist.
Join us on a saunter through the world of birds around Renön, where the forest meets the sea.
We walk at a leisurely pace and listen to the spring bird choir while Hansi maps and records the song dialects of the red-winged thrush on Renön, as part of a 30-year research project.
You will get an introduction to bird song and behavior research, song recording with sound binoculars and why birds sing. You will learn to recognize our most common birds and the birds' interesting love lives.
We walk in the kingdom of whooper swans and blackbirds where cranes dance and trumpet in the marshes, where the great grey owl has its hunting grounds and where common grebes and other seabirds swim in the wakes.
We walk along Last and Lövgrundsvägen and make detours on paths around Renön.
